I’m a comprehensive sports and spine physician. I treat a wide array of patients from professional-level athletes to couch potatoes, ranging in age from adolescents to seniors.

As a non-surgical specialist, I focus on the whole individual, not just the injured part. I take into consideration all the factors that may be contributing to a patient's symptoms or impeding their recovery. This is especially important with injuries caused by overuse and conditions that are chronic or recurrent.

Patient education is an integral part of my practice. When patients truly understand their condition they are better able to control their symptoms, are less disabled by their condition, and can more actively participate in their care. An injury can affect a person’s mood and sense of identity. I try to support my patients through their recovery process and work with them to help them stay active while they’re healing.

While I see a wide range of foot/ankle, knee, hip, shoulder, and upper extremity conditions, over half of my practice is patients with neck or back pain and/or sacroiliac joint problems. I also evaluate non-orthopedic conditions such as exercise-induced asthma, altitude-related conditions and osteoporosis. I help patients tailor their exercise program to their specific fitness needs and improve their performance with sport-specific conditioning.

I also have a special interest and personal background in dance, running, cycling, yoga and mountaineering, which allows me to advise and treat patients from a more informed perspective.
